Regenerative Medicine & Invasive Procedures
We offer a variety of physical medicine injection procedures typically under ultrasound guidance, for increased accuracy of needle placement. This includes regenerative procedures including Prolotherapy, and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma).
Trigger Point Injections: a type of injection that targets and resolves points of local tenderness and muscle spasm.
Joint Injections using diagnostic ultrasound guidance. This includes a variety of medications including traditional steroids and Serapin, an herbal plant based anti-inflammatory steroid alternative.
Prolotherapy: a type of injection using Dextrose that promotes a localized inflammation in areas of hyper-mobility to increase blood supply, repair and strengthen ligaments. This is used for spine including unresolved whiplash injuries, extremity tendonitis, and chronic ligament sprains.
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma): a regenerative procedure where the patients own blood is drawn and spun where the clear plasma containing platelets, growth factors and stem cell markers and injected to repair injured tissues.
Synvisc & Hyalgan Osteoarthritis Knee Injections: these contain the natural substance, Hyaluronate which is normally found in knee cartilage and joint fluid. This has been clinically shown to improve arthritic knee function often enabling patients to avoid knee surgery including knee replacement.
